Our team created a striking outdoor living space for this client, featuring a breathtaking paver patio complemented by a gas fire pit, perfect for gatherings that leave lasting memories. This project included almost everything! Featuring an outdoor sound system, landscape lighting, a koi pond with a waterfall, putting green, outcropping stairs, irrigation, manicured beach, walking trails and an outdoor kitchen, complete with granite countertops.

With a stunning lake view behind their home, this couple wanted a space that would allow them to fully enjoy the scenery from outside. Drawing inspiration from the home’s angular architecture, we extended the aesthetic into the landscape, using high-contrast white and black pavers for a bold, modern look. Nestled within the wooded lot, we incorporated a wood-burning fire pit, positioned to offer an uninterrupted view of the water—a perfect setting for cozy evenings. Color-changing LED lights built into the walls can be controlled from their phone, allowing them to easily set the mood for any occasion. A stone walkway, crafted from outcropping stones, leads from the front driveway to the backyard, providing a natural touch to a traditionally structured element. We also added a dry creek bed to channel rainwater from the downspouts, directing it to the lake in a functional and visually appealing way.

Not all properties are created equal, and this lot presented the challenge of a tight backyard with a steep slope leading to the drainage easement. To transform the space, we designed an elevated patio consisting of two interconnected circular areas, creating distinct outdoor rooms with a natural, sweeping flow. A seat wall doubles as both a railing and additional seating for guests, enhancing functionality. After dark, the patio comes to life with lighting that highlights the walls, steps, and a central gas fire pit—perfect for hosting large gatherings or enjoying an intimate evening for two. Contrasting paver accents around the patio and fire pit add depth, elegance, and a touch of luxury. The elevated design also offers sweeping views of the natural area beyond, making this space a true backyard retreat.

Our goal at First Church of Wheatfield was to accentuate this large contemporary building by scaling it with plantings that wouldn’t outgrow the space and keeping seasonal interest throughout the year. The plantings have a mix of native and pollinator plantings that can handle the heat of being in parking lot islands as well as providing beauty. Our seasonal displays have the entrances of the church looking its best with annual flowers changed out in spring, summer, and fall and evergreen displays in the winter. This sprawling property has 3 acres of irrigated lawn that we install and maintain. Our robotic mowing systems keep the lawn areas looking manicured. The church’s logo is showcased in carefully cut pavers in the patio at the back of the church. Such a wonderful property to create and enhance!

Natural stone is also used for the walls and the fire feature, which serves as a captivating focal point. The expansive back patio enhances the entertainment space and seamlessly transitions to the pool area, offering a perfect setting for gatherings. Thoughtfully placed lighting highlights the textures of the stone and landscape, creating a warm, inviting ambiance after sunset. At the heart of the back patio is a 240k BTU fire feature, combining the warmth and charm of a traditional wood fire with the ease and convenience of gas.

Designed for entertaining, this client’s expansive walkout basement called for a back patio that could serve as the ultimate outdoor retreat. We created a cozy fire feature with built-in seating, perfect for gathering on cooler evenings. The outdoor kitchen, equipped with granite countertops that mirror the interior design, features two grills and bar-height seating for seamless hosting. Guests can easily access the patio via a flight of stone-textured steps leading from the driveway. The space is further enhanced with thoughtfully placed lighting and contrasting paver textures, adding depth, warmth, and visual interest to this inviting backyard escape.
